Kenwood says that this knife has been designed to bring ‘speed, safety and comfort to everyday use’, and it certainly takes out the effort of carving most food.
A removable blade system is included which gets through most of the basic tasks. A replacement set of blades are also included for tougher food. We will say that the ordinary blade is notably blunter than the frozen food blade, however. So if you need to chop vegetables such as swede or turnip, the latter may be your preferred option.
The blades are dishwasher safe if you’d rather keep your hands away from the sharp cut, and they are stainless steel too which should save them from rusting and staining with heavy use.
The on/off button is nicely placed for comfortable access, and the powerful motor will make light work of cutting. It is one of the quietest in operation of those we reviewed, which is good if you’ll be entertaining.
The sharper blades are actually advertised as being perfect for getting through frozen food. But when we tested this, they weren’t the best – stick to bread maybe.
