Black Friday 2019: Predictions For Amazon Deals

Black Friday is one of the biggest shopping days on the calendar. Every year, online and High Street stores start hyping up the deals and knocking down the prices.

As it is on the run up to Christmas, a lot of customers will use this opportunity to stock up on their gifts to prevent the inevitable chore of hunting around once December hits. Keep your eyes peeled for gifts for family and friends as well as yourself.

Amazon is a popular Black Friday destination for thousands of people in the UK; you can order from your sofa, it is delivered to your door, and you avoid the chaotic scenes we have seen over the past few years in stores across the country. Deals can be even better if you have Amazon Prime, too.

So dig your Christmas/upcoming Birthday lists out, have a think of what you need and keep an eye on Amazon’s Black Friday page for the big countdown.

When Is Black Friday 2019?

In keeping with tradition, Black Friday will be on the 29th November 2019, which is the last Friday of the month and the one after Thanksgiving in America. Amazon UK often starts their sale a few weeks before this but reserves the absolute best deals for this day.

Don’t worry if you don’t have Friday 29th free, though – not only will Cyber Monday be around the corner on the 2nd November 2019, but a lot of retailers have started stretching it out for at least one week, or offering an entire month of top deals, right up until Christmas, to reduce a bit of pressure.

As for the exact time, most online retailers will start bang on midnight. We’d expect Amazon to follow suit.

What To Expect From Amazon Black Friday Deals 2019?

Amazon is one of the biggest retailers in the UK, and even though they always have brilliant Trending Daily Deals and Lightning Deals every day which you should be checking out, Black Friday is where the magic is at. They sell absolutely everything so deals and sales will be found across the board, but it will be an especially big day if you love your tech.

It is a great opportunity for them to discount their own devices, such as Kindles, Fire tablets, Echo’s and Fire TV sticks. And, if you are an Amazon Prime member, you could have access to even bigger savings and some exclusive deals.

Time your free 30-day membership well if you haven’t already signed up, or pay £7.99 for a month of access. Students can get 50% off and a six-month free trial. It will be worth it – Black Friday usually tops Prime Day for the best deals, and that was a pretty big success.

One of the main things to remember is that the best deals could sell-out and vanish in just minutes. Patience is not a virtue when it comes to bargain hunting. Be prepared, get ready and start your research now.

These are our predictions for what they will be offering when the time comes:

Smart Speakers

Amazon Smart Speaker

It is pretty handy for both us and Amazon that they happen to rule the smart speaker market with Alexa, so when Black Friday hits, you can expect to find their Echo’s with big price cuts.

Now would be a fabulous time to go all out and get the latest model, the Echo Show 3rd Generation. Items with a heftier price tag often have a bigger discount, so you could save a lot. Bulk deals could also see big savings, such as if you buy two together or the pack with Philips Hue bulbs.

Last year, the Echo 2nd Gen was reduced by £30 and the Echo Plus by £40 – expect similar, if not more, this year.

TVs

These are appliances which always see massive discounts, particularly on the latest models. It seems like there is a new must-have one out every week, so it is understandable that Black Friday has picked up on this cycle.

4K OLED HD TV’s are the latest technology, and to the annoyance of early adopters, the technology is still improving massively. Discount events are a great way to get the most recent models at much more reasonable prices than the couple of thousands of pounds they usually retail for.

AO, John Lewis and Currys PC World always have fierce competition on who can offer the best television deals, and Amazon is going to be putting up a fight this year. In 2018, they cut the price of some by almost £1,000 meaning 50% off RRP – not to be sniffed at in the slightest.

Smart Home Appliances

Got your eye on a smart speaker? If you want to do more with it than ask for the weather and news, then you’re going to need to kit your home out. Pretty much all smart appliances on the market work with Alexa, too, so Amazon will want to help you out a bit here.

Smart heating and lighting are two largely-growing markets, and although you can get the individual items for great prices, if you need a hub for it all to work or want to kit your entire home out with the latest gadgets, it will set you back a fair amount of money.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are great opportunities to get the best deals on the items, which is great if you need a few. Look at the starter kits, bulk-buy packs and even the more high-end products for some of the best deals and price cuts. You could end up getting everything you need for not much more than half of the original price.

Kitchen and Small Appliances

KitchenAid 175 Artisan 4.8L Review

Not as exciting as getting a new telly, we will give you that. But if you have a whole list of slow cooker recipes you’d love to try but are lacking the actual slow cooker to make them in, check out Amazon’s deals on their smaller appliances.

They sell some big names, such as Dyson and Shark vacuums, KitchenAid stand mixers, De’Longhi coffee machines and even Beko, Hotpoint and Indesit washing machines.

Black Friday isn’t just an excuse to get the latest gadgets – it could also save you a lot of money on your cooking and cleaning necessities.
