We’d have liked there to be a little storage bag or pouch included, which doesn’t just keep everything clean and dust-free but also in one place – great for anyone who is a bit messy.

It was relatively pain-free, but with some longer hairs, there was a slight tug which could bring a tear to your eye. It isn’t an issue which you’ll commonly encounter as you’ll probably keep on top of the trimming but worth a warming for the first use or two.

Even though we like this idea as it seems more reliable than batteries, compared to the actual battery-operated models, it did seem to drain the energy. The performance and power are high thanks to the high RPM which likely explains this, but just bear it in mind in case you feel that this doesn’t match your lifestyle.

Because it is so powerful, it can be a little painful when tugging the hairs out, but if clean, smooth skin is your aim, then it may be what you have to go through. Just beware not to go too far though, as you still need hairs in your ears and nose for health reasons.

We didn’t expect much from a trimmer which didn’t need electrical power, so were pleasantly surprised. It comes with a little leather pouch and a brush to keep it clean, which adds a classic touch.

The price is great for a product of its quality, and definitely for anyone out there who finds style and classic accessories is just as important as usability.

If the thought of putting anything remotely electrical up your nose strikes fear into you (even though the trimmers are perfectly safe), then these little scissors could be the answer (even though they aren’t strictly an appliance).

Scissors offer more precision than trimmers, and the rounded ends are much safer than the pointy nail-scissor types. Yet, the blades are extra sharp so will cut where you need them to.

The large finger holes will help you hold them comfortably, and you will have added control. Plus, the stainless steel material is easy to clean and will last for years if you take good care of them.

There is no reason why you couldn’t also use them to trim beards, sideburns, moustaches and eyebrows, which is especially handy if you have developed your own unique style over the years.
